Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka inspected the government's free nutritious lunch program trial at public junior high school SMPN 270 in North Jakarta on Wednesday.

"Similar to the one at (public primary school) SDN 03 Menteng, today we conduct the free nutritious meal trial at SMPN 270," Gibran remarked when met at the school here on Wednesday.

On that occasion, the vice president was accompanied by Acting Governor of Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi.

The city drinking water company PAM Jaya provided lunch this time. The 704-kcal lunch meal contained white rice, teriyaki chicken, mixed vegetables, fried tofu, and an orange. A total of 700 lunch boxes were given to students there.

During his visit to the school, Vice President Gibran also interacted with two students. He asked them about the lunch provided.

The two students Qweena and Alwan stated that they had eaten their fill.

"Do you want to eat this lunch every day?" Gibran asked the two students.

"We want to," they replied.

Qweena also thanked Gibran for visiting the school and distributing and overseeing the lunch activity.

"I hope Mr. Gibran will continue to work well and always be healthy. The food was delicious," Qweena stated.

Apart from distributing food to students, Gibran also handed out notebooks and milk to the students.

Before leaving, Gibran took pictures with the teachers, students, and school canteen staff.
