"On the next week's Monday, we will invite cultural communities. We will make an event, called the Informal Breakfast Meeting at the Ministry of Culture," he announced at the National Museum here on Friday.
The informal meeting will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time at the Culture Ministry. During the meeting, Minister Zon will listen to the aspirations of cultural actors regarding the distribution of the Dana Indonesiana Fund.
He stressed the need for standardization in the distribution of the fund, which the government uses to support the development and advancement of professionals in the cultural sector.
"It must have certain standards, criteria, and achievements in respective fields. There must be curatorship," he said.
The Ministry of Culture is seeking to create a more inclusive and sustainable cultural ecosystem in Indonesia. The provision of the Dana Indonesiana Fund can support efforts to advance culture.
The Indonesiana Fund program includes facilitation in the cultural sector, the use of the endowment fund, and scholarships for cultural actors.
Facilitation in the cultural sector includes support for cultural organizations, the utilization of public spaces, strategic activities, stimulants for cultural expression activities, documentation of maestros' works, innovation in creative works, assistance funds for international distribution, and study of cultural promotion objects.
Funding to support cultural activities through Dana Indonesiana is being provided in collaboration with the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP).
The Indonesiana Fund was instituted based on Law No. 5 of 2017 concerning the Advancement of Culture.
