The championship will feature three disciplines: Lead, Boulder, and Speed.
The 18-member Indonesian team, comprising 11 male and seven female athletes, departed for India on Monday afternoon, via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta.
FPTI General Secretary Pristiawan Buntoro said that the federation conducted rigorous selection to ensure only the best athletes were chosen.
The Indonesian team manager and also Head of FPTI Coaching and Achievement Development, M. Rizali Umarella, emphasized the importance of this experience for building a strong mental fortitude.
"The athletes' participation in this competition is FPTI's effort to increase the junior athletes' experience and hone their skills at the international level, especially in the Asian region," Umarella noted in FPTI's written statement.
Umarella noted that the Asian-level competition will better prepare these young athletes for future challenges, including the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
"We continue to prepare young athletes to have a prepared mentality and fighting spirit in international championships," he noted.
