"We have 26 commodities that we are determined to have processing industries for," Prabowo stated.
He emphasized that Indonesia needs to secure US$600 billion in investments to conduct downstreaming. In pursuit of this substantial goal, Indonesia extends an open invitation to foreign partners to collaborate in this initiative.
"And many companies have been involved in our economy for years," Prabowo noted.
He also highlighted Indonesia's recent successes in implementing prudent economic and fiscal policies.
Indonesia has maintained growth even after the COVID-19 pandemic, with the current national growth rate of around 5 percent, higher than the global average.
"Our inflation is at 2 percent," he remarked.
Prabowo said that Indonesia has also built several special economic zones, which will continue to be developed, to invite modern and advanced leading technology companies to come.
He expressed Indonesia's optimism about developing the marine and fisheries industry, as three-quarters of its territory is water.
"Indonesia has extraordinary potential, let us say, in a well-planned fisheries program, aquaculture, and many processing industries," he explained.
Prabowo acknowledged that Indonesia continues to face several challenges, such as poverty and malnutrition, and emphasized his commitment to addressing them without delay.
