"Without the dynamic participation of the economic sector, basically we cannot have growth and prosperity," he affirmed in his keynote speech at the APEC CEO Summit in Peru on Thursday.
"Without growth, we cannot alleviate poverty. We cannot create relevance. We cannot create employment," he added.
According to Prabowo, peace and prosperity are driven by economic activity, which cannot be separated from the role of the business community, entrepreneurs, and the industry.
He highlighted that the Pacific is one of the most dynamic regions in the world, going by economic growth and natural resource abundance.
"The economic growth, the potential technological achievements, the demographics, the resources available in the Pacific and Indo-Pacific regions—all point to a bright economic future for all," he noted.
Prabowo also expressed the hope that world leaders will prioritize the common good amid the current global geopolitical tensions.
"In the interests of humanity, I believe that the leaders of the great powers of the world will always opt for the common good," he added.
