Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Social Empowerment, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, has urged the youth to actively participate in organizations to boost their creativity and innovation.

"Therefore, by getting involved in an organization, joining this activity, is part of building a future project for Indonesia," he said in Jakarta on Monday.

He conveyed this to Student Council (OSIS) members from senior high schools across DKI Jakarta at the "Young Batavia Party," an event organized by the DKI Jakarta Student Organization Forum.

Iskandar said that Indonesian youth have distinct advantages, including rapidly advancing technology and the country's cultural diversity.

Therefore, he urged young people to take full advantage of the opportunities and advantages they have.

Furthermore, Iskandar, also known as Gus Imin, emphasized that the courage to innovate must be nurtured among young people.

According to him, young people nowadays are more creative and capable of leveraging opportunities and technological advancements

"Use these technological advances to create cultural, socioeconomic, and creative economic products to improve our nation," he said.

He expressed the hope that with young people actively participating in organizations from an early stage, such as schools, the vision of a golden and superior generation capable of competing with other nations will soon become reality.

"I am confident and optimistic that, with all of you actively participating in organizations, especially OSIS, you will get various friends, networks, and experiences. And, God willing, together we will build a superior nation ready to compete with others," he added.
