"We have two agendas today, one of which is (discussing) 100-day programs planned by the Foreign Affairs Ministry at the directive of Mr. President (Prabowo Subianto)," Commission I Speaker Utut Adianto remarked while opening the meeting in Jakarta on Monday.
The speaker remarked that the meeting also aims to touch upon several issues.
"Since this is an inaugural meeting, we would like to urge everyone present at this working meeting to introduce themselves," Commission I Deputy Speaker Budisatrio Djiwandono stated.
Minister Sugiono then proceeded to introduce several officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the lawmakers, including his deputies Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir and Anis Matta.
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno could not join the meeting as he was overseas doing official duties.

Furthermore, the minister explained that his deputies are tasked with different duties. For instance, Deputy Minister Nasir is focused on internal and multilateral affairs.
"Then there is Mr. Anis Matta, who, of course, is trusted with matters related to the Islamic world," he stated.
He noted that Deputy Minister Oegroseno is tasked with handling bilateral ties and issues concerning international treaties.
"It should be noted, though, that this division of tasks is not rigid in nature. We are leading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a collective, collegial manner," he told legislators.
Sugiono also admitted having had no time yet to organize an orientation session within his institution since he had spent 24 days of his first month in office traveling abroad for official agendas.
Other deputy speakers of the commission and director generals at the ministry also participated in the meeting.
