Jakarta (ANTARA) - President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council, Ambassador Ted Osius, expressed his commitment to partnering with Indonesia in supporting President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita program.

Osius said this in his remarks at a meeting with Prabowo at the State Palace on Tuesday.

"We are committed to being your resource and partner to realizing the Astacita vision and to supporting your priority programs, the initial programs that you have set, and 17 missions for Indonesia," Osius stated.

During his visit, he brought along 50 leaders of US companies who have committed to becoming partners in Indonesia.

Osius and the US entrepreneurs were accompanied by the US Ambassador to Indonesia, Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir.

"Thank you very much for welcoming us to this beautiful room at the Palace today. We are honored to bring 50 US companies to join our 2024 Indonesia business mission. This is a record," Osius remarked.

This business mission coincides with the 75th Anniversary of US-Indonesia Relations and the 40th Anniversary of the US-ASEAN Business Council.

As a real effort of their commitment to partnering in Indonesia, the US-ASEAN Business Council has written a report on navigating opportunities and maintaining dynamic economic policies in Indonesia.

The report was compiled with the LPEM research institute, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (UI).

"Each chapter presents analysis, best practices, and recommendations in various fields such as food and agriculture, informatics technology, digital economy, health and life sciences, and energy and mineral resources. These are our ideas to support your Astacita vision," Osius addressed.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Lakhdhir said the companies at the meeting had committed to partnering in Indonesia by making more investments while supporting the Indonesian government's goals.

In his remarks, Prabowo stated that all cabinet members performed well during the 44 days of the Red and White Cabinet's work.

The president also spoke of having met with Osius during his visit to Washington, D.C., the United States, and met with several members of the US-ASEAN Business Council as well.
