According to the Tourism Ministry's press release received here on Sunday, BPOLBF has coordinated with the Komodo National Park Authority (BNTK) and other stakeholders to ensure tourists' comfort and safety when visiting the park.
BPOLBF also worked together with the local port authority and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to support the area's safety during the year-end holiday.
"We are carrying out cross-stakeholder coordination as an effort to support tourism activities in Labuan Bajo so that they remain safe and comfortable during the Christmas and New Year holiday," Acting President Director of BPOLBF Frans Teguh said.
Teguh said that his side wanted to ensure the safety of tourists visiting the National Komodo Park considering the current weather that is affected by the rainy season.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays, BPOLBF also conveyed information about safety to visitors and reminded them to comply with the rules that have been determined by tourist attraction management.
Even though it is the rainy season, Teguh said that the weather conditions in the Labuan Bajo area are safe and conducive to tourism activities.
Meanwhile, Head of BTNK Hendrikus Rani Siga also confirmed that Komodo National Park is safe for tourism activities during the holidays.
Siga reminded tourists who want to visit the area to check the BMKG weather forecast regularly and comply with tourist rules, especially in water areas.
"It is not recommended to go to the Komodo National Park area during bad weather, because it is risky and can endanger your safety," Siga.
