"Our grand strategy is to make preparations for the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, starting from now to 2029," he remarked while referring to the end term of President Prabowo Subianto's administration.
As cited from his office's statement here on Friday, Brodjonegoro emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology would persist in its efforts to ensure that every university creates concrete, positive impacts on society, the nation, and the state.
In this context, the minister called on all higher education institutions in the country to re-evaluate their programs to align them to serve the interests of the people.
"We are hoping for talented university graduates who wield the capacity to make contributions to themselves, their families, their communities, and the public in general," he affirmed.
In this regard, he emphasized that the top universities are those capable of producing talents equipped with practical and beneficial skills.
"The ability to read and write, a positive work ethic, teamwork, and communication skills are of the essence in the professional setting," he highlighted while encouraging a lifelong learning mindset among Indonesian university graduates.
Drawing attention to technology mastery, the minister alerted university graduates to the possibility of the increasingly massive use of artificial intelligence undermining the role of humans across various sectors in the future.
"In order to advance Indonesia, we must possess globally competitive technology that can help our nation enhance its productivity," he concluded.
