Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education emphasized the urgency of providing quality education for all citizens in alignment with the 1945 Constitution and President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita missions.

"To realize this, we have to understand and map out the challenges in the education sector in Indonesia," Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Atip Latipulhayat remarked here on Tuesday (January 21).

Latipulhayat made the remarks at a national seminar on teachers' social-emotional competence in the deep learning era, held in Banyumas District, Central Java. The event was attended by 1,730 teachers and principals from kindergarten, elementary, and junior high schools.

In the ministry's statement received here on Thursday, Latipulhayat emphasized that his side has prepared several programs to improve the quality of teachers.

According to the deputy minister, providing quality education for all is crucial, particularly through the support of well-qualified educators.

Latipulhayat noted that quality education encompasses four key aspects: equitable access to education, affirmative education financing, talent development, and inclusive education.

He explained that achieving this goal requires participation from all stakeholders, including the government, private sector, and community.

"The strategy we implement emphasizes universal participation. It is not solely the government's responsibility but also involves all stakeholders in the education sector. The private sector and the community are our essential partners," he remarked.

He further highlighted that one of the methodologies being adopted is deep learning, which integrates mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning.

Mindful learning focuses on being fully present and engaged during the learning process, while meaningful learning connects theoretical knowledge to real-life applications.

Meanwhile, joyful learning aims to foster a fun and engaging environment that motivates students to explore and learn.
