Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Hasan Nasbi, stated that President Prabowo Subianto has full authority over any reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet.

"The only person who knows about the reshuffle is the president. It is his authority. Regarding the timing and the person, only the president knows," Nasbi told journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

The PCO head addressed the possibility of a reshuffle within the Red and White Cabinet following the president's statement that ministers could be replaced if they failed to perform adequately.

According to Nasbi, the president's statement serves as a reminder that the cabinet's focus must remain on working for the best interests of the people.

"This is a general warning. Anyone who cannot work in sync with the president can be evaluated," he remarked.

Apart from issuing a warning to his cabinet on Wednesday (February 5), the president also lauded successful programs carried out by the cabinet members.

"The president always gives appreciation, direction, and also gives warnings," Nasbi revealed.

On Wednesday, Prabowo had earlier cautioned that underperforming ministers and heads of government institutions could face replacement.

"The people demand a clean and proper government, which works properly. I emphasized that our interest should focus on the nation and the people. I will replace those who refuse to work for the people," he stated in response to journalists' questions regarding the reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet after the commemoration of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Anniversary in Jakarta.

Prabowo asserted his zero-tolerance approach towards state officials who mishandle their responsibilities or fail to deliver on government programs designed to benefit the people.

"We will not hesitate to act. I have given warnings multiple times. I will take action against those who are stubborn," he warned.

Addressing the cabinet's performance during its first 100 days of working, Nasbi highlighted positive approval ratings from three institutions: 79 percent from Indikator, 80.9 percent from Kompas, and 85 percent from the Indonesian Survey Institute.
