Patria stated that the latest technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence (AI), have significantly altered the working landscape and displaced several traditional professions.
Consequently, it is crucial to cultivate digital skills and creativity early on to effectively address these challenges.
"We will face a fairly complicated period in 2030 because so many will graduate later and the job market will also be very varied, depending on our creativity," Nezar noted in a statement on Saturday.
He also encourages the younger generation to develop the capacity to adapt readily to the dynamic work environment shaped by technological advancements.
Thus, when technology replaces numerous professions later on, the younger generation can remain competitive by fulfilling the demands of potential new jobs resulting from technological advancements.
"Any knowledge you learn is useful. However, one thing you need to remember is that you have to incorporate the skills needed today. For example, learning about data science, blockchain, and cloud computing," Nezar explained.
Noting the absence of boundaries between scientific disciplines today, Nezar encourages the younger generation to confidently explore diverse areas of knowledge, including AI technology such as ChatGPT.
However, he still deems it necessary to maintain the ability to think critically while improving digital skills, so that they can still find solutions when encountering problems.
"Much more important is how to train our brains to be able to continue to conduct synthetic analysis of problems and also our critical thinking can work," Nezar emphasized.
He stressed that in the face of the rapid flow of information in the digital space, which has implications for the spread of misinformation and disinformation, critical thinking must be applied.
“Do not forget to use your common sense, stay away from negative content, think positively, work, pray, and study science, pay attention to the latest developments and you must always be at the forefront," Nezar told the younger generation.
