He said that parties should not engage in polemics about the budget for the new capital's development because the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has emphasized that the development will continue.
"Let's follow the directions of President Prabowo who has said that currently, the project completion is focused on the development of offices for legislative and judicial institutions and the supporting ecosystem," he affirmed here on Saturday.
He said he believes that President Prabowo would make the best decision for developing the new capital by considering all aspects in a measured manner.
"The challenge now is on the implementation by the government officials. It is important to focus on following all of President Prabowo's directions without exception," he added.
He expressed optimism that the development of Nusantara will continue and serve as a breakthrough for equitable development in Indonesia.
"When we, the MPR leadership, led by MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani, visited Nusantara some time ago, the development was also rapid," he recalled.
In addition, he encouraged legislators to act as spokespersons and disseminate information about the development of the new capital.
According to Soeparno, information dissemination about Nusantara can be done when meeting with foreign partners.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti, highlighted that the development of Nusantara is on, with particular emphasis on legislative and judicial areas.
She affirmed that this focus is based on a directive from President Prabowo. Meanwhile, the OIKN will continue with the further planning of the new capital's development.
