"This digitalization is expected to make the issuance and distribution of graduation documents quicker and more accurate and to reduce risks of forgery," the ministry's Director of High School, Winner Jihad Akbar, stated during the dissemination on high school diplomas monitored online here on Monday.
Akbar stressed that this initiative aims to ensure that the administrative process adheres to established procedures so students obtain valid diplomas that meet the new standard.
He further noted that this also offers schools greater autonomy in issuing diplomas, which is expected to boost efficiency and accuracy in their distribution.
"It is important to note that only accredited educational institutions have the right to issue diplomas," he stressed.
This action is also being carried out to implement the mandate of the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 58 of 2024 concerning Primary and Secondary Education Level Diplomas, which states that diplomas must adhere to the three main principles of validity, accuracy, and legality.
In this regard, the ministry's Coordinator of Educational Data, Data Center, and Information Technology, L. Manik Mustikohendro, emphasized the importance of building diploma master data as part of the education master data.
"One of the crucial points is building a structured and integrated diploma master data management to ensure accuracy and validity of graduation documents," Mustikohendro elaborated.
