"In a world where misinformation spreads quickly, the collaboration between Anadolu Ajansi and ANTARA can act as a strong defense against false narratives," Karagoz remarked here on Wednesday (February 12).
He explained that by combining resources, cross-verifying news, and committing to fact-based reporting, both organizations can enhance public trust in professional journalism.
"Through a transparent editorial process, sharing best practices, and maintaining ongoing dialogue, our partnership can help ensure that accurate information prevails over rumors and speculation," Karagoz affirmed.
The two news agencies continued their long-term collaboration by signing a cooperation agreement, which was witnessed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday.
Karagoz expressed his aspiration that Anadolu and ANTARA would not only disseminate accurate and timely news but also promote deeper dialogue within their respective countries.
"By working together on editorial projects, exchanging photos and videos, and offering training program for journalists, we can foster mutual understanding, broaden each other's perspectives, and strengthen the relationship between Turkey and Indonesia," he stated.
The ANTARA-Anadolu cooperation was among the 13 cooperation agreements established between Indonesia and Turkey during Erdogan's visit to Indonesia.
"We welcome the extension of the partnership between state news agencies, as well as among fellow members of OANA, the Association of Asia-Pacific News Agencies," Akhmad Munir, the President Director of ANTARA, noted in his statement.
