"In a world where misinformation spreads rapidly, our collaboration as Anadolu Ajansi and ANTARA can serve as a strong line of defense against false narratives," Karagoz remarked here on Wednesday (February 12).
He explained that by combining resources, cross-verifying news, and committing to fact-based reporting, both organizations can enhance public trust in professional journalism.
"Through transparent editorial processes, shared best practices, and ongoing dialogue, our partnership can help ensure that accurate information prevails over rumor and speculation," Karagoz affirmed.
The two news agencies continued their long-term collaboration by signing a cooperation agreement, which was witnessed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday.
Karagoz expressed his aspiration that Anadolu and ANTARA would not only disseminate accurate and timely news but also promote deeper dialogue within their respective countries.
"By collaborating on editorial projects, photo and video exchanges, and journalist training programs, we can cultivate mutual understanding, broaden each other’s perspectives, and strengthen the bond between Türkiye and Indonesia—both at the institutional level and among our audiences," he stated.
The ANTARA-Anadolu cooperation was among the 13 cooperation agreements established between Indonesia and Turkey during Erdogan's visit to Indonesia.
"We welcome the extension of the partnership between state news agencies, as well as among fellow members of OANA, the Association of Asia-Pacific News Agencies," Akhmad Munir, the President Director of ANTARA, noted in his statement.
