Speaking to the media at the palace's complex, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra noted that the invited judges include those attending the Special Plenary Session of the Supreme Court Annual Report for 2024.
The session took place at the Hall of the MA in the capital city on Wednesday (February 19).
Mahendra admitted to having no information on matters that President Prabowo intended to discuss with the judges.
"I believe the discussion will revolve around institutions. Let us just listen to what the president has to say," the coordinating minister stated.
On the same occasion, Mahendra's deputy, Otto Hasibuan, confirmed to have been invited by the head of state to attend the meeting with the judges.
"We have been asked to gather. Mr President seeks an audience with judges from across Indonesia," he told journalists.
The deputy minister underlined that he and the judges would receive directives from President Prabowo.
He corroborated Mahendra's statement, admitting that he did not have details on the issues the president was keen to discuss.
Meanwhile, upon his arrival at the palace, Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas informed the media that he came to the meeting venue to accompany President Prabowo, who plans to touch upon the Supreme Court's annual report.
"Yesterday, we met at the MA. Today, we are gathering at the palace," he stated.
The minister also said he was unaware of the exact number of judges summoned by the president to his palace.
During the MA's special session earlier, President Prabowo voiced his commitment to improving the quality of life of judges while expressing his appreciation for their heavy workload.
The head of state, however, also reminded the judges to remain steadfast to their impartiality principle and improve their integrity to uphold justice in Indonesia.
