Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government is committed to providing excellent public services during Eid mass homecomings this year, an infrastructure official said on Friday.

"Our goal is to deliver the best service to the community, not just in words but in practice," said Herzaky Mahendra Putra, a spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development.

He stated that specific technical measures for implementing the Eid homecoming policy will be announced soon by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.

Putra noted that President Prabowo Subianto's directive to lower travel ticket prices during the homecoming season is a key focus of public service preparations in coordination with other ministries.

"All of these preparations are nearing finalization. We hope that next week, Minister Yudhoyono, the Minister of Transportation, and other related ministers can share details on what will be prepared to ensure a pleasant and comfortable homecoming experience for the community," Putra said.

Earlier, Yudhoyono led a coordination meeting on Eid mass homecoming preparations with representatives from several ministries and other agencies.

He emphasized the importance of thorough preparations for the Eid homecoming flow to ensure safe, smooth, and comfortable travel.

"This will be significant for everyone, especially those traveling home or on vacation," he said.
