This was confirmed by the Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana on Sunday.
The president is set to announce and inaugurate the establishment of Danantara on the agenda.
"The president will launch Danantara at the Presidential Palace on Monday at 10.00 local time," Permana informed.
According to him, the launch of Danantara marked a new era of transformation in strategic investments in the country.
"This is also part of the government's commitment to realizing Astacita, namely a grand vision to improve the Indonesian economy through sustainable and inclusive investment," he continued.
Earlier, Prabowo announced his plan to launch Danantara when speaking at the World Governments Summit on February 14, 2025, where he said he would inaugurate Danantara on February 24.
Danantara is projected to become Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund by managing assets worth more than US$900 billion. At the initial funding, a budget of US$20 billion is prepared for the agency.
Prabowo said the funds managed by Danantara will be used to finance sustainable and high-impact projects in various sectors, such as renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, downstream industries, and food production.
When attending the Gerindra Party's event on February 15, 2025, he also asked former presidents and leaders of religious organizations to help oversee the management of Danantara funds.
"Danantara is the power of the future and we must protect it together. Therefore, I ask for all former Presidents' willingness to participate as supervisors in this fund. If necessary, leaders of religious organizations such as Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), and also Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI) can assist us in supervision," he remarked.
