The minister underscored this point while emphasizing the importance of human resource development in line with the 2025 Government Work Plan (RKP) during an orientation retreat for newly inaugurated regional leaders at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, on Tuesday (February 25).
According to a statement from his office released on Wednesday, Pratikno highlighted that the RKP’s theme of "Accelerating Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth" underscores the need for Indonesia to cultivate high-quality talent to fully capitalize on its demographic bonus.
"The government recognizes the critical role of excellent and resilient human resources in driving Indonesia's progress and shaping effective policies," he remarked.
In this regard, the minister pointed out that five of this year's seven quick win programs focus on human resource development. These include the Free Health Checks program, hospital capacity expansion, tuberculosis eradication, school revitalization, and the establishment of Garuda excellent schools.
Moreover, the government has prioritized four human development and cultural goals: digitizing learning activities, accelerating the alleviation of stunting, building resilience against disasters, and improving moral and mental health.
Bearing this in mind, the minister emphasized that the central government needs support from regional governments to ensure the success of these programs.
"We would like to ask for support from governors, district heads, and mayors for the president's quick win programs," he told the audience.
Furthermore, Pratikno stressed the importance of all stakeholders working together to create innovations, collaborate, and maintain accountability to help Indonesia tackle future challenges.
The regional heads' orientation, running from February 21 to 28, aims to brief local leaders on strategies for implementing the central government's priority programs in their respective regions.
