Quoted from an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (Mar 12), the minister said the managers would be summoned for data collection.
"For the forest area in Bogor, we have made a notice board for 29 villa units or tourist parks that are likely to violate the law by carrying out activities without permission in the forest area," the minister remarked.
"The mechanism is that the places that have been sealed will be summoned for data collection and document collection. There will still be law enforcement according to forestry regulations," he noted.
Furthermore, the minister explained that later, if the 29 sealed buildings are proven to have breached the regulation, his side will impose sanctions according to applicable regulations, including demolition and fines.
He drew attention to several illegal structures in the forest area, which included villas, tourist attractions, and houses.
The minister told his staff that the clean-up should not be carried out merely for the sake of momentum but will continue to be followed up seriously.
"This is in the forest area. In the forest area, we identified 29, and we put up signs that indicate to the public that we are present," Antoni stated.
