"I believe that our partnership will not only bring benefits to Indonesia and Singapore but also inspire other countries," Fauzi remarked here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Fauzi outlined her side's priority programs aimed at realizing Golden Indonesia 2045, including the establishment of the Indonesian Common Space (RBI), the expansion of the Women and Children Friends (SAPA) 129 call center, and the creation of a village-level unified data system for women and children.
"I hope that in the future, the cooperation between the Ministry and MSF can help us develop and refine these three priority programs," Fauzi noted.
In addition, she suggested establishing joint programs between the PPPA Ministry and MSF by also inviting other ASEAN countries.
"With the hope that it can demonstrate ASEAN's commitment and synergy in the development of women and children," she remarked.
According to Fauzi, the partnership between Indonesia and Singapore, particularly between the PPPA Ministry and MSF, has been well-established.
The minister stated that on November 8, 2022, the ministry and MSF signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on women’s empowerment, child protection, and family development.
"However, as we know, this MoU has expired in November 2024. We certainly hope that this MoU can be reactivated as its scope is still very relevant to the needs and challenges faced by both countries," Fauzi stated.
In addition, the PPPA Ministry and MSF co-hosted side events during the 67th and 68th sessions of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which were attended by delegations from various countries.
