In a statement here on Friday, he explained that the president instructed the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure synchronization between the central government and regional governments to run well.
This includes ensuring sound communication between regional leaders, such as governors, district heads, and mayors so that the central government and regional governments' programs can be in harmony.
Alongside synchronization, regional governments must also focus on budget efficiency by addressing unnecessary expenditures, as he emphasized.
The efficiency policy also eliminates unnecessary spending budget items, which are then diverted to support priority programs required by the community.
According to Sugiarto, the efficiency policy would also lead to more focused and healthy fiscal space for regions. It can also help regional governments manage their budget better.
"There should be no concerns for this efficiency," he assured.

He also appealed to regional governments to stop budget leakages and stamp out corrupt practices in their respective regions.
This aims to facilitate the realization of all priority programs, such as school development, the Free Nutritious Meals program, and job creation efforts.
"In every cabinet meeting, the president always reminds the Attorney General and the National Police Chief to be firm. Give the most severe punishments to corruptors," he remarked.
Asta Cita, comprising eight missions set forth by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, includes objectives such as village-centric development to achieve economic equity and the continuation of downstreaming and industrialization.
