This announcement was made by Minister of Villages Yandri Susanto during the Kick-Off event for the Village Day Commemoration as monitored via the Kemendes PDT YouTube channel in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Village Day is celebrated annually on January 15 to remind all Indonesians to prioritize villages as the focal points for development, regional growth, and cultural preservation.
Furthermore, Susanto highlighted that the 12 action plans encompass revitalizing Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), establishing self-sufficient and food-resilient villages, ensuring energy and water self-sufficiency in villages, and promoting the downstreaming of main village products.
Moreover, the plans include developing export-oriented villages, empowering young men and women to become village pioneers, and synchronizing and consolidating ministries and institutions programs to enter villages.

Regarding this coordination, Susanto emphasized that it represents a collaborative effort between his ministry and several related ministries and institutions, such as the Coordinating Ministry for Food, to achieve food self-sufficiency in villages.
Furthermore, the eighth action plan focuses on village digitalization and the development of tourist villages. The ninth plan aims to boost village investment and foster cooperation with national cooperatives and investors from abroad.
"The 10th plan is strengthening supervision and governance of village development," Susanto remarked.
Related to supervision, the ministry collaborates with the Chief of Police, the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Commander, and the Attorney's General Office of Indonesia to ensure that village funds are utilized effectively for the welfare of village communities across Indonesia.
