Palu, C Sulawesi (ANTARA) - Minister of Law, Supratman Andi Agtas, called on the public to interpret the spirit of Eid al-Fitr by continuing to maintain the values of relationships, tolerance, and national unity.

"The spirit of Eid al-Fitr must be understood as a commitment to continue fostering relationships, tolerance, and the values of unity and solidarity among our nation," Agtas remarked here on Monday.

Minister Agtas, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Abcandra Akbar Supratman and Head of the Central Sulawesi Law and Human Rights Office, Rakhmat Renaldy, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Jabal Nur Mosque, Mantikulore Sub-district, Palu City, Central Sulawesi.

He also accentuated the importance of maintaining peace and strengthening unity among religious communities as a tangible manifestation of the Eid spirit.

According to the minister, Eid al-Fitr is not just an occasion to celebrate the end of Ramadan but also an opportunity to reinforce togetherness.

He emphasized that Ramadan Month has taught Muslims about patience, sincerity, and self-control.

Agtas underscored the need to uphold and apply these values in daily life, especially in fostering harmony amid Indonesia's diverse society.

With the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the minister urged all members of society to continue to spread goodness, uphold the values of justice, and strengthen brotherhood for a more peaceful and advanced Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of MPR Abcandra Akbar Supratman expressed hope that Eid al-Fitr would be an occasion to strengthen national solidarity.

"Diversity is a blessing that we must safeguard together. Eid al-Fitr serves as a reminder that unity and tolerance are key to creating a peaceful and prosperous society," he stated.
