Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chief of the Greater Jakarta Police, Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy, stated that Eid al-Fitr is a momentum for enhancing the spirit of public service to the community.

“I hope that the Eid celebration will strengthen togetherness within the police force and boost our spirit of service to the community,” Abadhy noted in a statement received here on Monday.

The brigadier general explained that this Eid celebration is not only about victory after observing Ramadan but also about strengthening brotherhood and compassion.

“We hope that this spirit is reflected in every duty we undertake in serving and protecting the community,” he stated.

He also remarked that as part of the security personnel during the Eid holiday, the Greater Jakarta Police deployed thousands of personnel in Operation Ketupat Jaya 2025 to ensure smooth travel during the homecoming period and public security in the Jakarta area.

“With the holding of the Eid al-Fitr prayer, it is hoped that the spirit of togetherness and professionalism among police officers will increase to create a safe, peaceful, and conducive environment for all citizens,” he remarked.

President Prabowo Subianto called on the Indonesian people, particularly the Muslim community, to make Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri a moment to strengthen solidarity.

In an official statement from the Presidential Presidential Secretariat here on Sunday, President Prabowo, representing the government, extended his Eid al-Fitr greetings to all Muslims in the country and around the world.

“After a full month of observing the fasting of Ramadan, the time has come for us to celebrate victory. Eid al-Fitr is a sacred moment for forgiving one another and strengthening ties of friendship," he noted in the statement.
