Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto said he engaged in discussions about President Prabowo Subianto's policies during an Eid al-Fitr gathering hosted by People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Ahmad Muzani in Jakarta on Wednesday.
"Yes, we are on a break, but we will return to work on April 8 (2025). Therefore, we exchanged thoughts on what we should accelerate going forward," he told the media at Muzani's official residence.
Sugiarto said that during the gathering, which was attended by government officials and legislators, he had a conversation with head of the Presidential Communication Office, Hasan Nasbi, about the need to disseminate positive narratives among the public.
"We share the vision of building optimism and spreading positive narratives. This is important," he stressed.
The deputy minister added that the talks about politics and public policies took place while he was savoring the meal served at the ceremonial event.
"I think it is only natural for politicians to discuss political matters when they meet," he said.
