President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) and President of the Labor Party, Said Iqbal, conveyed this information in a virtual press conference here on Thursday.
“The issues (to be) raised during the May Day celebration are (demands to) abolish outsourcing, the establishment of a Task Force for Termination of Employment (Satgas PHK), fair wages, and protection for workers by passing the new Employment Law,” Iqbal remarked.
Other key demands are passing the Domestic Worker Protection Bill (RUU PPRT) to protect domestic workers and the Asset Forfeiture Bill to address corruption.
Moreover, Iqbal projected that about 200 thousand workers from the regions of Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, Serang, and Cilegon are expected to attend International Workers' Day at Monas on May 1.

Furthermore, he remarked that President Prabowo Subianto will likely attend the International Workers' Day celebration in Jakarta.
