"One of the values to build the nation's children's character is integrity. Upholding integrity is one of the important values that must be instilled and implemented by every educational institution," she said in her statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
She outlined that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) recently issued the results of the 2024 Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) of educational institutions.
One of the findings is that 22.13 percent of educational institutions cheated in the school accreditation process.
This, according to her, must be responded to immediately with concrete measures for quality improvement.
To this end, efforts to improve the quality of educational institutions must receive support from all parties, including stakeholders in every educational institution.
She further said that educational institutions, as institutions that are tasked with instilling noble values, must be managed based on noble values as well, including upholding the integrity values.
The MPR deputy speaker encouraged stakeholders at the central and regional levels to consistently make efforts to improve the quality of education in the country.
"That way, we will be able to create the nation's future generation that has noble character, strong character, and competitiveness in the future," she remarked.
