Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has issued a directive to transfer the management authority of assets linked to the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium Complex to the Indonesian Investment Management Agency, Danantara.

“It is true that the discourse on placing GBK assets under the management of Danantara stems from Mr. President’s instruction,” State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi told the media on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the plan was first introduced by the president during a meeting held in Jakarta on Monday (April 28), aimed at fostering synergy between Danantara and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) whose assets fall under its management.

Hadi noted that the Ministry of State Secretariat, the current manager of GBK assets, requires time to prepare and execute the transfer process, as the sports complex is not considered part of any SOEs, unlike other assets managed by Danantara.

In this regard, the minister stated that his office is in technical coordination with relevant parties, particularly the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of SOEs, and Danantara.

“Since we are still in the coordination stage with other stakeholders, no assets have been transferred so far,” he remarked.

Following Monday’s meeting, Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani highlighted that the planned transfer of GBK assets would raise the total value of assets managed by the investment agency from US$982 billion to over US$1 trillion.

“This projected figure includes assets within the GBK complex currently managed by the State Secretariat Ministry. The plan is to transfer all assets linked to the complex, which were valued at US$25 billion eight years ago, to Danantara,” he told reporters.

Roeslani, who also serves as investment and downstreaming minister, affirmed Danantara’s commitment to enhancing the productivity of the assets through comprehensive planning.
