Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, is considered a new pillar in the country’s economic development, according to Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Aminuddin Ma’ruf.

Speaking at the Dharma Santi BUMN 2025 summit in Jakarta on Sunday, Ma’ruf said Danantara is expected to become an integral part of the SOE ecosystem that promotes efficiency, accountability, and professional management.

He emphasized that Danantara was created to help achieve the vision of making SOEs more competitive, visible, and impactful in contributing to the national economy.

“This is a new entity in Indonesia’s economic civilization, reflecting our shared aspirations for more transparent and world-class SOEs,” he said.

During the event, which celebrates Dharma Santi, a Hindu religious observance, Ma’ruf also called on Hindu leaders and community figures to support Danantara’s mission.

“We ask for the blessings and support of Hindu leaders so that Danantara can align with our goals and with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita vision,” he remarked.

He expressed hope that Danantara would become a strategic instrument for shaping SOEs that prioritize public welfare.

“Let’s continue working together to build competitive SOEs and a more dignified Indonesia,” he added.

The government, he noted, is utilizing a range of economic instruments, including the state budget, to maintain resilience amid global economic shifts.
