Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto marked National Education Day by reviewing a demonstration of learning practices in schools using smart board technology.

During his visit to SDN Cimahpar 5 public elementary school in Bogor on Friday (May 2), the president was seen seated in a classroom to follow a lesson conducted by one of the teachers.

Prabowo listened as the teacher and students explained how they utilize the interactive boards provided by the government to support daily learning.

The smart boards are part of the ongoing digital transformation implemented in various schools across Indonesia.

After the demonstration, the president expressed his gratitude and delivered a message to the students.

"Thank you, teacher. And please study well everyone," Prabowo remarked before leaving the classroom.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu’ti stated that digitalization efforts include revitalizing schools and providing assistance with smart classroom technology.

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has allocated a budget of Rp16.9 trillion for the revitalization of 11,440 schools or educational units and Rp2 trillion for the digitalization of education.
