He made this statement during "The Risk-Based Mentoring Program on Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Crimes" held in Jakarta on Thursday.
General Listyo emphasized that maintaining cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and therefore, synergy among all stakeholders is essential.
He noted that collaboration is crucial to creating a secure digital environment for the public, which can, in turn, support national economic growth.
He also stressed the importance of joint efforts to prevent more people from falling victim to online scams and gambling.
“This is also aimed at curbing the outflow of funds abroad, as seen in cases involving fraud and online gambling,” Listyo stated.
He added that the event reflects the government's strong commitment to combating cybercrime and can play a key role in efforts to eradicate cyber-related offenses.
The event was attended by representatives from Polri, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the Attorney General’s Office, the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Earlier, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, stressed that cross-sector collaboration is vital to strengthening national cybersecurity.
She made the remark in response to the growing digital challenges Indonesia is facing.
According to a recent report by SEA Times, Indonesia ranks first globally in internet addiction—not only due to the large number of users, but also their high levels of activity online.
