Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transmigration Minister Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara emphasized that his ministry's programs are implemented based on data to ensure development in transmigration areas is effective and accurate without leaving the local communities behind.

Suryanagara affirmed that the ministry is currently seeking to transform transmigration policies so that the government's programs can have a direct impact on improving the welfare and economic growth of transmigration communities.

"The Ministry of Transmigration must create jobs, reduce poverty, improve the quality of human resources, and provide wide access to education for the community," he stated here on Thursday.

To design well-targeted transmigration policies, the Ministry of Transmigration is collaborating with Statistics Indonesia (BPS) to obtain accurate data as material for policy analysis.

Suryanagara explained that through this collaboration, the Ministry of Transmigration aims to boost community and regional income, develop export potential, expand employment opportunities, reduce poverty rates, improve quality and access to education, and increase investment value.

"With data from BPS, we want development in transmigration areas to not leave the local communities behind. We want everyone to get the benefits, not only infrastructure but also education, jobs, and prosperity," he remarked.
