Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto hosted Chinese Premier Li Qiang for a luncheon and cultural arts performances at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Sunday.

The agenda commenced with a cordial reception from President Prabowo, who expressed his appreciation for the significant visit.

According to him, the bilateral meeting held earlier had already yielded many strategic agreements.

"We are optimistic that this cooperation will bring benefits to both nations and our people. But more importantly, we are sure that this will bring peace throughout Southeast Asia and even the Asia-Pacific," Prabowo remarked.

Following the President's remarks, Premier Li Qiang delivered his address, expressing his pleasure at visiting Indonesia on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"I would like to congratulate the results of the development progress in the past few years in Indonesia. I also express my gratitude for the warm welcome given to me by President Prabowo and the Indonesian government," he stated.

He further mentioned that the relationship between the two countries has grown closer due to mutual trust and the willingness to support each other on their respective paths towards modernization.

"China is ready to strengthen bilateral cooperation, succeed in our path towards modernization, and welcome a bright future together with Indonesia," he continued.

The state luncheon featured Indonesian specialties blended with international flavors, ranging from oxtail soup to wingko babat (sticky rice and coconut cake).

While enjoying the dishes, the distinguished guests were entertained by vibrant cultural arts performances.

One of the highlights was the Enggang Bird Dance, a traditional dance of the Dayak Kenyah tribe from East Kalimantan.

There were also musical performances of various songs, including "One Moment in Time" and "When I Fall in Love," alongside classic and popular tunes from both countries such as "Ni Wen Wo Ai," "Xing Xing Suo," "Gemu Fa Mi Re," and "Wo He Wo De Zhu Guo."
