Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Economic Affairs Minister Airlangga Hartarto and China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao signed two memorandum of understanding to enhance economic cooperation in industrial and supply chains and advance the Two Countries Twin Parks cooperation project.

These two MoUs are among four previously agreed upon by President Prabowo Subianto and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

“The signing of these two memoranda follows up on the agreements made by the presidents of Indonesia and China in earlier bilateral meetings and reflects our shared commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” Hartarto stated at the Presidential Palace here on Monday.

The MoU on Economic Cooperation in Industrial and Supply Chains aims to strengthen partnerships in industrial development and enhance bilateral supply chains, with a focus on strategic sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, high-tech industries, and renewable energy.

Hartarto expressed hope that this cooperation would attract potential investments of around Rp81.5 trillion, or around US$5 billion, which is projected to create about 15 thousand jobs in Indonesia.
