This was conveyed by Prabowo here Wednesday while issuing a joint press statement with Macron during the French President's state visit to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indonesia-France ties.
"We agree to go further by adopting a joint vision declaration toward 100 years of Indonesia-France relations by 2050," he said.
According to Prabowo, the 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries hold a special meaning.
Indonesia and France have also shared a strategic partnership since 2011, he noted.
Prabowo said the joint vision for 100 years of diplomatic relations would seek to increase cooperation in strategic fields.
In addition, he welcomed Macron's state visit to Indonesia. Macron is the first head of state from the European Union to visit Indonesia after Prabowo's election as president.
"This proves our closeness and strong friendship between our two countries. Once again, thank you for this courtesy visit," he said.
As countries with strong cultural traditions, Indonesia and France also unveiled a strategic declaration on culture.

Prabowo said the declaration is meant to serve as a guideline for cooperation in various fields of culture and the creative economy that contribute to economic and social development.
President Prabowo received a state visit from President Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
The two leaders held a bilateral meeting with delegations from each country and witnessed the signing of a number of agreements.
The two leaders are scheduled to dine together at the State Palace, Jakarta, at 8 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
President Macron's visit to Jakarta and Magelang from May 27–29, 2025, is a part of his Indo-Pacific tour agenda, which includes Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore.
