Deputy president director of InJourney Airports, Achmad Syahir, said here on Friday that the number of flight passengers could cumulatively reach 2.71 million, or increase by around 8 percent compared to 2.52 million passengers during the same period of last year.
"The highest number of flight passengers is predicted to be on June 5, 2025, reaching around 500 thousand. Meanwhile, the peak after Eid al-Adha is estimated to be on June 9 with around 450 thousand passengers," he informed.
He said that flight traffic during the long holiday period is predicted to reach around 20 thousand, or up 5.25 percent.
"The increase in the number of flight passengers was driven by the Eid al-Adha holiday, which was close to the weekend, which was then followed by joint leave," he added.
Syahir said that all InJourney Airports have made preparations to provide the best services during this busy period.
"Amidst the high flight traffic, all InJourney Airports continue to prioritize aspects of security, safety, service, and compliance with all existing regulations," he added.
In addition, several airports are ready to provide services to all flight passengers. They are also working to ensure their facilities can support services for passengers and flight operations.
Syahir further said that InJourney Airports is coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure smooth flights during the Eid al-Adha period.
"Regarding coordination with stakeholders, including for flights, for example, if there is a request for an extra flight from the airline, then InJourney Airports will ensure the availability of its slot time at the airport to serve the extra flight," he added.
InJourney Airports currently manages 37 airports in Indonesia, including the five busiest—Soekarno-Hatta Tangerang, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali, Juanda Surabaya, Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar, and Kualanamu Deli Serdang.
