"Policies that encourage easy access to capital, business assistance, and skills training, including for former migrant workers and their families, are concrete evidence that entrepreneurship is a national priority agenda," she highlighted.
Aryani made the statement at the first National Entrepreneurship Day event, which will now be officially commemorated every June 10, according to the Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI), here on Tuesday.
Aryani elaborated that the celebration of National Entrepreneurship Day serves as a momentum to recognize the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in strengthening Indonesia's economy.
Therefore, she expressed appreciation for all MSME entrepreneurs who serve as the backbone of the national economy.
The deputy minister noted that entrepreneurship is not only a means to build a new and better life, but also makes a tangible contribution to economic development.
Moreover, the deputy minister highlighted that President Prabowo Subianto's government has shown clear support for MSMEs as a pillar of national economic growth.
Aryani also welcomed the government's plan to finalize the People's Business Credit (KUR) program specifically for Indonesian migrant workers.
"We hope the KUR for migrant workers can open wider access to capital for those who are constrained by the costs of going abroad," Aryani explained.
She called on all parties to make the most of National Entrepreneurship Day to revive the spirit of people's businesses, as well as to strengthen the collective commitment to building a more independent, prosperous, and just Indonesia.
"To all former migrant workers who have become entrepreneurs, I congratulate you. Let us continue to be an inspiration and be part of the sovereign people's economic movement," she remarked.
Meanwhile, MSMEs Minister Maman Abdurrahman stated that the commemoration of National Entrepreneurship Day was a momentum to promote equality and respect for MSMEs actors in Indonesia.
"This is President Prabowo Subianto's way, through the Ministry of MSMEs, to give the highest recognition to MSMEs actors throughout Indonesia," he stated.
President Prabowo Subianto, in a message delivered by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, stated that MSMEs have historically been a stronghold of resilience for the Indonesian economy.
"MSMEs are the foundation of the national economy," Lahadalia stated while emphasizing that Indonesia cannot progress without its entrepreneurs.
Currently, the proportion of entrepreneurs in Indonesia stands at only 3.1 to 3.2 percent, far below the ideal target of above 10 percent.
