The FLPP is a mortgage scheme for providing government funding to banks and other financial institutions to offer loans at subsidized rates to low-income individuals and families.
“Through the FLPP program, the realization (of subsidized housing funding) until May reached Rp12.59 trillion, growing from Rp10.96 trillion in the previous month," Deputy Minister of Finance, Thomas Djiwandono, informed in a statement released on Friday.
This funding was distributed for 101,707 housing units in 379 districts/cities, up from 88,482 housing units in 362 districts/cities the previous month, he added.
This year, the government has allocated an FLPP budget of Rp18.77 trillion, with a distribution target of 220 thousand housing units.
This has added to the realization of the FLPP program, which recorded total funding distribution of Rp151.22 trillion for 1,598,879 housing units in the period from 2010 to 2024.
In addition, the government is planning an additional FLPP allocation to support the implementation of the 3 million housing program.
“From the total allocation in 2025 of Rp18.77 trillion, the government has disbursed Rp11.5 trillion to BP Tapera (Public Housing Savings Management Agency) and prepared an additional allocation to support the target of the 3 million housing program,” Djiwandono informed.
The FLPP is one of the priority programs of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration.
The implementation of the program has been accelerated—both in terms of scale and speed—to generate a multiplier effect on the economy as well as the society through job creation, increased welfare, and economic growth.
