Saint Petersburg (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto departed for Jakarta via Pulkovo International Airport on Friday (June 20) after wrapping up his agenda in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

His motorcade paused near the presidential aircraft, allowing him to participate in a send-off ceremony featuring guards of honor and the national anthems of Indonesia and Russia.

After the anthems and an inspection of the troops, Prabowo greeted several high-ranking Russian and Indonesian officials attending the procession. They included Lyudmila Vorobieva, Director for Asia 3 at the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry, and Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Sergey Tolchenov.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian delegation comprised Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono and Indonesian Ambassador to Russia Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, among others.

The president also took a moment to approach and present souvenirs to the ceremony commander and a Russian security officer tasked with ensuring his safety during the Russia visit.

He then greeted reporters and posed for photos with them before boarding the plane alongside Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and personal secretaries Agung Surahman and Rizky Imansyah.

Earlier, Prabowo had arrived in Saint Petersburg on Thursday (June 18) through the same airport. He met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Constantine Palace and delivered a speech at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 the following day.

The Indonesian leader joined President Putin, Prince Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Ding Xuexiang, and South African Vice President Paul Mashatile in a panel session at the forum.

He used the opportunity to reinforce Indonesia's steadfast commitment to its non-aligned stance.

“Indonesia has always been non-aligned. We respect all nations. Our foreign policy is simple: one thousand friends are too few, but one enemy is too many,” he told the audience.

Approximately 20 thousand participants from 140 countries took part in the Russian government-sponsored annual event.
