Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chair of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, reviewed the pilot project for the digitalization of social assistance programs during a meeting with relevant ministries and agencies.

Pandjaitan said that the meeting marked a significant milestone in the six-month push across ministries and government agencies to develop and implement GovTech and digital government, especially through the adoption of digital public infrastructure (DPI).

“Digitalization is key to delivering more targeted, transparent, and efficient public services,” he added here on Friday.

Pandjaitan, who is also special presidential advisor on government digitalization and technology, reiterated President Prabowo Subianto’s directive on the urgent need to accelerate digital transformation in public services, especially within the social protection system.

One of the key initiatives currently being prepared is Portal Perlinsos, an integrated platform powered by DPI, which covers digital identity, biometric data for authentication, and a data exchange platform.

Through the portal, citizens will be able to digitally access verification, registration, and management of social assistance programs in an easy, safe, and independent manner.

The pilot project of the social assistance digitalization will focus on two main programs, the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) program.

“Banyuwangi district (East Java) has been designated as the national pilot location due to its readiness in digital infrastructure and the local government’s strong commitment to public service innovation,” Pandjaitan explained.

The DEN chair emphasized the importance of a coordinated and strong pilot implementation, accompanied by comprehensive evaluation and concrete recommendations, to ensure the model can be replicated nationwide soon.

By doing so, an integrated digital governance that delivers real benefits for the welfare of the Indonesian people can be realized.
