"The government, under President Prabowo Subianto, has three weapons to overcome poverty and to achieve a Golden Indonesia 2045. The first, health; the second, education; and the third, socio-economics," Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi noted in a press statement at the PCO Office in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Nasbi explained that these three large-scale programs will be launched and inaugurated directly by President Prabowo this month.
The Sekolah Rakyat program will be launched at the end of July, with around 100 schools in several regions ready to accept new students from families classified as extremely poor.
Sekolah Rakyat is one of the president's priority programs, providing not only free education but also aiming to break the cycle of poverty in these families.
Students at Sekolah Rakyat will receive education based on the national education curriculum, as well as decent housing in dormitories and nutritious meals every day.
"The target is approximately 0.7 percent of the population who are at the extreme poverty level," he stated.
The second program, Free Health Check (CKG) in schools, will be available for elementary, middle, and high school students. These checks will include dental, ear, and blood pressure screenings, as well as TB screening and psychiatric examinations.
According to Nasbi, the CKG for school students is part of the government's program to improve the quality of human resources, ensuring that both education and student health are maintained.
The third program to be launched on a large scale is the Red and White Village Cooperative (KopDes).
President Prabowo is scheduled to simultaneously inaugurate 80 thousand KopDes in all villages and sub-districts on July 19.
The inauguration event will be centered in Klaten, Central Java.
By launching these three programs, Nasbi is upbeat that the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia will not just be celebrated as a ceremony but also as a milestone in achieving equitable welfare.
"This is what is called President Prabowo's trident to break the chain of poverty. We hope that with this launch, development will be more evenly distributed, and independence will be more real," he affirmed.
