"A circular letter alone won’t stop job brokerage. It requires the support and shared commitment of all parties," he said during a visit to Serang, Banten, on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Manpower is currently working to build a more transparent and accountable recruitment ecosystem through its "Stop Job Brokerage" campaign.
Banten, one of the country’s key industrial hubs, is the third location for the campaign, following similar initiatives in Karawang and Bekasi.
Yassierli said the effort aligns with a presidential regulation aimed at strengthening the employment ecosystem and protecting job seekers.
He emphasized that job seekers should be able to access employment opportunities without having to pay fees or rely on intermediaries. To support this, the ministry is enhancing education and training programs to ensure that workers receive verified job information through official channels.
The campaign is being rolled out both on the ground in industrial zones and online via the Siap Kerja (Ready to Work) platform — developed by the ministry to eliminate third-party involvement in recruitment.
"Job vacancy information should be accessible directly through the Siap Kerja platform — no third-party involvement is needed," Yassierli said.
Touching on vocational education, he highlighted a persistent issue: local residents near industrial areas are often left out of employment despite living close to job hubs. He urged the establishment of vocational schools or training centers in every industrial region.
"People in Banten should not be left as mere spectators. They should be active contributors to the province’s growth," he stressed.
Yassierli also reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to working with the Banten provincial government to ensure vocational programs are both widely available and aligned with industry needs.
