“Going forward, I hope the Finance Ministry can build an automated and regular data exchange system. This would mark a breakthrough in creating a predictable, fair, and accountable tax ecosystem,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram account @smindrawati on Saturday.
Indrawati and ministry officials held a joint coordination meeting on revenue to strengthen institutional mechanisms and capacity, so that a more integrated and reliable work system for optimizing state revenue can be developed.
She lauded the progress made by the Finance Ministry in enabling more seamless data exchange, stronger coordination, and increasingly solid data integrity.
According to the minister, these developments have laid a strong foundation for establishing a new, more credible working model that ensures better certainty for taxpayers.
“I hold high hopes that these impressive achievements will continue and positively impact the quality optimization of state revenue,” she said.
Earlier, it was reported that Indrawati is targeting tax revenue of Rp1,409 trillion, or around US$86.8 billion, in the second half of 2025.
This year’s tax revenue target is projected to be lowered from the initial goal of Rp2,490.9 trillion to Rp2,387.3 trillion.
With tax revenue realization reaching Rp978.3 trillion in the first half, the government will need to collect an additional Rp1,409 trillion over the next six months to meet the target.
Meanwhile, the target for non-tax state revenue (PNBP) has also been revised downward from Rp513.6 trillion to Rp477.2 trillion.
As of the first half, Rp222.9 trillion of PNBP has been collected, and Rp254.4 trillion will need to be collected in the second half of the year.
Thus, the overall state revenue is now expected to reach Rp2,865.5 trillion, down from the initial target of Rp3,005.1 trillion. The ministry will still need to collect Rp1,663.7 trillion in state revenue in this year’s second half.
