"He will personally announce the theme and logo tomorrow," said Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro on Thursday.
He told reporters that the launch will be attended by several ministers, the logo designers, and other key figures involved in the national celebrations.
The government expects the public and all state institutions, including regional governments, to promote the theme and use the logo to help enliven the celebrations once they are officially revealed, he added.
"After the launch, the logo is expected to be used by the public, regional administrations, and central government agencies in various decorations installed outdoors, especially in strategic locations," Ardiantoro said.
Earlier, the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) announced that this year’s Independence Day celebrations will be centered in Jakarta — shifting from the future capital, Nusantara, which hosted the 2024 national celebrations.
"According to the latest information, the celebrations will take place in Jakarta," PCO head Hasan Nasbi said at a press conference on Wednesday.
He added that the organizing committee for the event has been formed by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and includes the PCO.
Nasbi confirmed that President Prabowo will officially launch the theme and logo for the occasion.
