Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is actively working with the Ministry of Cooperatives to prepare for digitalization and technology adoption within the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) program.

"We are coordinating with other ministries, especially the Ministry of Cooperatives, on adopting the right technology that can help the Red and White Cooperatives run as we hope," Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria stated at the ministry's office in Jakarta on Monday.

Patria explained that his ministry is tasked with preparing digitalization efforts related to connectivity infrastructure and platform interoperability for the Red and White Village Cooperatives program to enable smooth and fast data exchange between systems.

"In accordance with the national plan for the Red and White Cooperatives, Kemkomdigi is responsible for preparing digitalization, including infrastructure and platform interoperability, for the Red and White Cooperatives," he remarked.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy is coordinating with the Ministry of Cooperatives to integrate Kemkomdigi's digital training platform, Digitalent Academy, with the cooperative super app currently under development.

This integration is designed to support member data management, cashless transactions, and real-time monitoring of cooperative performance.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy ensured the availability of a reliable and equitable digital network in KDMP priority areas while strengthening digital literacy through systematic training of cooperative human resources. The ministry also applies a data-driven strategy by conducting regular regional mapping.

"We are not only focused on training but also on developing a digital ecosystem that facilitates modern and participatory cooperative management," Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Meutya Hafid stated during the KDMP launch in Bentangan Village, Klaten, Central Java, on Monday.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy views KDMP as an ideal model to replicate the digitalization of the village economy in an inclusive and scalable way. The cooperative combines basic services, logistics distribution, financial transactions, and digital training within a single community platform.
