Jakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Yassierli has said that the revitalization of job training centers will focus on transforming the curriculum and training methods to make them relevant to industry needs and priority programs of the government.

“The transformation includes the implementation of project-based learning, training for the management of Red and White Village Cooperatives, and green competencies training,” he said in a statement released here on Wednesday.

According to the minister, optimizing the function of the training centers is both a solution and a strategic challenge that Indonesia is facing in the employment sector.

He further said that his ministry is continuing to make collaborative and cross-sectoral efforts to develop quality human resources to support the implementation of national programs.

These efforts have included the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with 21 ministries and agencies, 12 regional governments, and 35 development partners.

The collaboration is aimed at preparing excellent talents who are ready to work in national programs and producing human resources who can directly support job creation.

He further said that in its job creation strategy, the Ministry of Manpower is prioritizing four main approaches.

The four approaches are cross-ministerial and sectoral collaboration, apprenticeship programs, entrepreneurship, and the National Productivity Improvement Movement.

In addition, the Ministry of Manpower is continuing to carry out internal governance transformation as a foundation for clean and professional public services.

The bureaucratic reform within the ministry, he said, is being carried out based on the principles of transparency, collaboration, performance, and ethics.

“Going forward, the Ministry of Manpower’s strategy will be directed toward a change in institutional mindset, from focusing on manpower affairs to becoming an institution that plays an active role in human resource development,” Yassierli said.
