“These four programs have met all the international accreditation requirements set by the Accreditation Agency for Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN),” head of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) at ULM, Professor Agung Nugroho, said in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Thursday.
The four accredited programs comprise undergraduate course in agricultural industrial technology, forestry, soil science, and agribusiness.
According to Nugroho, the extension was granted during a recent meeting of the ASIIN accreditation commission.
“The evaluation process was based on compliance reports submitted by each program, with assistance from LPMPP ULM,” he informed.
He expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and hard work of all study program teams, faculty members, and the LPMPP.
“This decision proves that ULM’s study programs are capable of meeting international standards. It serves as a solid foundation for accelerating the internationalization of ULM’s academic quality,” he said.
LPMPP ULM said it remains committed to helping other study programs obtain international accreditation, in line with ULM’s vision of becoming a globally competitive institution focused on wetland-based research.
“This international recognition is a strategic and prestigious achievement in our efforts to enhance the quality of higher education at ULM, which has already earned an ‘Excellent’ national accreditation status,” Nugroho added.
ASIIN focuses on accrediting academic programs in the fields of engineering, computer science, natural sciences, mathematics, agriculture, and biology.
